This little collage (15"x6") was just me messing around in my studio. I call it Walk in the Woods III. (Click to see whole painting).
When I was growing up, we had a cabin on a lake (almost everyone had a cabin on a lake in Minnesota). My mom and I would often take a walk around the lake - maybe 2 miles. There was barely a path in some areas, swampy in areas, a gravel road in others, and heavily wooded. I remember the smell of damp earth, mosses, mushrooms, ferns, butterflies, birds, ducks, and all manner of green plants.
This collection of collage materials from my stash brings to mind some of those cabin memories.
