End of Day is a mixed-media piece made from old newsprint, layers of paint, and lots of texture.
I built up the surface bit by bit to create a kind of horizon—where sky meets earth—with bits of type peeking through the clouds and the earth. It has a worn, weathered look. Someone who is drawn to earthy colors, built-up textures, and a mystery underneath would find this piece interesting.
It measures 10-1/2x15-1/4x1. It has been mounted to a frame on the back that lifts the painting away from the wall.
