There really are lots of layers. This piece has three layers. The back layer is painted on paper. The middle layer is painted on the back side of cast acrylic sheet and the third layer is the front of the acrylic. The entire thing is finished in a high gloss resin. You will keep finding new things in this piece forever. That's what folks tell me that they love about my work.
