At the beginning of the year I started a new series called " Hashtag
Resist". This is the first painting in the series, which explores the
politically charged events that have happened and will continue to
happen in America and around the world since the 2016 election. This has
been an exercise in emotional release surrounding feelings of
powerlessness in regards to world events, and a way for one artist to
visually express elements of what I see on popular social media outlets
and trending hashtags in relation to those events.
