Morning Sunlight--watercolor & ink sketch, 5x8. These are in my sketchbook from our recent visit to my dad's farm. I like to sketch with watercolors--they're quick and fun. I liked the way the shadowy foreground contrasted with the bright morning sunlight on the distant pasture.
Deer--watercolor & ink sketch, 5x8. One evening, these 2 deer, casting deep shadows, came down to the pond for a drink.
Cows Grazing--watercolor & ink sketch, 5x8. These cows aren't really purple; they're black, but in the evening light, they looked purple. There has been a lot of rain this summer, and the grass is tall and plentiful.
