New "Ruby Path" Texas Wildflower Painting by Niki Gulley

“Ruby Path" ©2020 Niki Gulley
24" x 12" textured oil painting

I wanted to capture the rhythm, color, and density of our Indian Paintbrush, bluebonnets and vibrant wildflowers flowing along the grassy mounds in the Texas Hill Country. Making sure to not over blend my thick strokes so that you could see the marks and feel the energy found in nature, Ruby Path is loaded with texture, color and movement. Vertical diagonal rows of ruby jewel tones lead your eye to the foliage in the distance, inviting you to stroll amongst the gorgeous wildflowers. Arranging the Indian Paintbrush  and bluebonnets vertically are designed to lift your spirits and add joy to your home.
