While I was at the Superstition Mountain Museum Heritage Days, I took some photos of the Dutchman and his burro to use as painting reference.  They were across from my art booth and I was entertained by the way he joked with each child as he led them around the ring.  This area is rich with history and lore and I'm so happy to live here in Arizona.  Maybe soon I'll paint the "Dutchman" himself!
