Mixed Media Abstract Painting "Light The Way" by Santa Fe Contemporary Artist Sandra Duran Wilson

Acrylic glazing over gold leaf create a rich patina. Textures and floral elements add depth and interest. This painting has a shiny finish that glows.

Texture Trifecta with Sandra Duran Wilson
May 5-7, 2017 in Austin, TX

I can't stay away. I will be returning to the wonderful Ampersand Gallery in Buda (next to Austin) for a 3 day workshop. We will be hitting the trifecta by combining implied and applied textures, building deep surfaces and carving back into them and adding elements we make. If you like texture, this is the class for you. We will have 3 days to build our surfaces on the Ampersand panels using acrylic pastes, gels, plaster, clay products, faux concrete and even glass. I will show you how to create some unique "metallic" papers to incorporate into your layers. Come join the fun and Ampersand has some GREAT deals for us following the workshop. I look forward to sharing a lot of new paints, materials and products with you. All supplies are included. Simply bring your brushes and tools.
