Abstract Contemporary Mixed Media Art Painting “COUNTING“ by Santa Fe Contemporary Artist Sandra Duran Wilson

Counting is another painting using Venetian plaster, acrylic mediums and collage on panel. I created a colorful background, buried it under Venetian plaster and then unearthed it. This painting has a beautiful burnished sheen that looks like wax, but it’s not.  It is framed in a black wood floater frame, ready to hang.

Plaster and Wax Art Workshop with Sandra Duran Wilson

 March 19-20, 2017

 Santa Fe, New Mexico

Having experiences is what travel is all about. Add some exciting and unique adventures to
your life with an art holiday during Spring Break in Santa Fe. I love to combine the earth elements of Venetian plaster and beeswax. These two play well together and result in some of the most luminous textures; with a depth and glow that just can't be achieved any other way.
I did write a book on Acrylic painting for Encaustic Effects, and it was inspired by using
plaster and wax together. Join me and find out what all the fun is about. Sign up soon because this class fills up fast. All supplies are provided! If you are interested in both the 3 day and this 2 day, there is a special price for both. Just ask!
